Our map of North America and Canada shows the location of Haida Gwaii Queen Charlotte Islands off the West Coast of Canada, about 500 miles due north of Vancouver BC, and only 40 miles due south of the lower tip of the Alaska panhandle.
- Jets fly twice daily in the summer between Vancouver, British Columbia and Sandspit, on the Queen Charlotte Islands.
Canadian Airlines
- Float planes fly from Prince Rupert on mainland BC (60 miles away) to Masset & Queen Charlotte City several times daily in the summer.
- B.C. Ferries travel from Port Hardy (northern tip of Vancouver Island) to Skidegate, Haida Gwaii, (via Prince Rupert) twice weekly, and from Prince Rupert to Skidegate 5 times weekly in the summer. (Reservations a MUST).
- Budget car rentals have offices island-wide.
