Travel to Haida Gwaii

By Air

Air Canada offers regular daily flights in the summer from Vancouver's main terminal (YVR) to Sandspit (YZP).

Pacific Coastal Airways offers daily (twice daily Fridays) flights to Masset from Vancouver's south terminal during the summer and alternate days during the shoulder and winter season.

North Pacific Seaplanes offers float plane flights from Prince Rupert (60 miles away) to Masset, Queen Charlotte, and Sandspit.

By Sea


B.C. Ferries travel from Port Hardy (northern tip of Vancouver Island) to Skidegate, Haida Gwaii, (via Prince Rupert) twice weekly, and from Prince Rupert to Skidegate 5 times weekly in the summer. Reservations are a MUST for the busy summer season.

Shuttles and Car Rentals

National Car Rentals (250-626-3833) and Rustic Rentals (250-626-3756) operate out of Masset and provide local airport pickup.

Budget (250-637-5688) operates out of the Sandspit Airport.

Island Rentals (250-559-8415), Rustic Rentals - Pick up at BC Ferries available (250-559-4641), and Budget (250-637-5688) operate out of Queen Charlotte City.
